Best Baby Bottles for My Infant
When my oldest two kids were infants there were two choices: Breastfeed until they quit asking for it, or fill the bottle (Pretty sure there was only one choice way back when) with formula that had been scientifically tested on your wrist to ensure the perfect temperature. Imagine my surprise when I went to purchase bottles for my infant boys only to find there are roughly 427 varieties of bottles to choose from. We had our share of hits and misses, and eventually landed on one bottle that works great for both very different feeders. We started with Dr. Brown’s Original Baby Bottle, which is known for it’s vent system designed to curb colic, gas and spitting up. My bigger boy did well with it… the trouble with it for my little, less developed guy was the flow of the nipple. A little too much too quick. We moved into Philips Avent Natural Baby Bottle, which is designed to mimic the breast in feel and nipple shape and size. It’s also a slower flow for those babes that are still working on the whole drinking thing. Both babies love it, and in a month or two, when they get a smidge bigger, we will bring out the Dr. Brown’s, and perhaps try the Tommee Tippee Closer to Natural Bottles and the Comotomo Baby Bottles… Both are highly rated and designed to feed similar to breast feeding. If you are transitioning from breast feeding to bottle feeding, give the Medela Breastmilk Bottle a try. They are compatible with the Medela Breast Pumps, made with newborn feeding habits and moms in mind.
